Visiting this website
This website has no forms and doesn’t set cookies of its own. You can read it without telling us who you are. There is more on this on our cookies page.
Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes basic technical data, such as IP addresses, in its server logs. This is used to deliver the website to you and to keep it secure. Cloudflare runs a global network, so this data may be processed outside the UK, under the safeguards that UK data protection law requires.
Analytics, if you allow it
If you choose Accept all on our cookie notice, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and to measure how quickly pages load. For each page you view, it records the page, the site that referred you, your browser, operating system, device type and country, and loading times. Cloudflare says it doesn’t track individual visitors across the websites it serves, and it keeps this data for up to six months.
Analytics runs only on www.bricksnmortarpd.com. You can choose Essential only, or withdraw your consent at any time, on our cookies page. Withdrawing doesn’t affect visits counted before you did.
When you email us
If you email us, we receive the details you choose to share, such as your name, contact details and what your enquiry is about. We use them only to respond to you and to manage your enquiry. Our email is provided by Google Workspace, which stores messages on our behalf.
Our lawful basis
We rely on these lawful bases:
- Legitimate interests: responding to enquiries about our work and managing them properly.
- Steps before a contract: when you ask us about a project or service, we use your details to take the steps you have asked for before any contract is agreed.
- Consent: for analytics, only if you allow it. You can withdraw it at any time on our cookies page.
How long we keep your data
We keep your details only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, and then delete them.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have these rights:
- Access: ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure: ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Objection: object to us using your data where we rely on legitimate interests.
- Portability: ask for the data you gave us in a commonly used format, or for us to send it to another organisation.
Some of these rights apply only in certain circumstances. To use any of them, email us at info@bricksnmortarpd.com.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
If the way we handle personal data changes, we will update this notice and the date at the top of this page.
